With nearly 40 years of experience, Hennessy advises developers, property owners, municipalities, and special districts on environmental, land use, and property rights matters. He is widely recognized for helping clients secure entitlements, navigate regulatory challenges, and resolve complex disputes that directly impact project viability and long-term asset value.
Hennessy joins the firm following a distinguished career as a founding shareholder of a boutique environmental law firm, where he built and led practices across Florida. At Johnson Pope Bokor Ruppel & Burns LLP, he will focus on environmental permitting, land use approvals, and litigation involving land ownership, development, and property rights.

An active member of the community, Hennessy has held leadership roles in professional and civic organizations and is a past president of the Environmental Law Network. He is also a frequent writer and speaker on environmental and land use issues.
Outside the office, Hennessy is a lifelong athlete and sports fans who enjoys traveling to ski or attend sporting events with his three grown children.
