Revenue growth
A company’s long-term revenue performance can indicate its overall quality. Even a weak business can perform well for one or two quarters, but a high-quality one grows for years. Sezzle’s revenue grew at a strong 41.1% compounded annual growth rate over the last five years. Its growth surpassed the average financials company and shows its offerings resonate with customers.

Long-term growth matters the most, but within financials, a half-decade historical view may miss recent interest rate changes, market returns and industry trends. Sezzle’s annualized revenue growth of 61.9% over the last two years is above its five-year trend, suggesting its demand was strong and recently accelerated.
Note: Quarters not shown were determined to be outliers because they were impacted by outsized investment gains/losses that are not indicative of the recurring fundamentals of the business.
This quarter, Sezzle reported strong year-on-year revenue growth of 42.6%, and its $166.5 million of revenue beat Wall Street’s consensus estimates by 6.9%.
Key takeaways from Sezzle’s Q3 results
Sezzle’s full-year EPS guidance and quarterly EBITDA both came in well above analysts’ consensus estimates, making this a strong quarter overall. Shares surged 9% to $149.21 immediately after the report.
Sezzle had a solid quarter, but one earnings result doesn’t necessarily make the stock a buy. Assessing the investment case requires a broader look at valuation and business quality as well as the latest earnings. For more, read our full research report here (it’s free).
