One of Dubuque, Iowa’s Top-Producing Real Estate Brokerages Brings 30 Agents to Real

Team led by Cody Burger and Dennis Buchheit is on track to complete 500 transactions in 2026 as they look to expand across the tri-state region

The Real Brokerage Inc., a leading technology-enabled real estate platform redefining the industry through innovation and agent culture, today announced that Cody Burger and Dennis Buchheit are bringing their 30-agent real estate brokerage, previously operating as Unlimited, to the company under the name The Team.

Based in Dubuque, Iowa, The Team serves clients across the tri-state region, including Dubuque, Galena, Ill., and southern Wisconsin. Since 2020, the business has completed approximately 5,000 transactions valued at $1.2 billion and is on track to complete 500 transactions in 2026, ranking it among the top brokerage firms in Dubuque.

Buchheit brings a strong business and real estate background to Real. In addition to his 30-plus-year real estate career, he is the co-owner of numerous businesses which complement real estate, including property management, insurance, HVAC, cleaning and construction companies.

Buchheit brought Burger into Unlimited in 2020 to lead the company, launching a partnership that led to the merger of their operation with the region’s largest brokerage. Together, they helped build Unlimited, which became a market leader by agent count and production.

As a brokerage owner and active real estate professional, Burger has overseen business operations while continuing to serve clients. He is on track to generate approximately $15 million in personal transaction volume in 2026, including the sale of a $3.1 million home in Dubuque that set a local record.

At Real, Burger and Buchheit plan to build on their regional success by recruiting agents in additional markets and using Real’s technology platform to streamline operations and better support their agents.
